Collection: Ceylon Cinnamon

There are two main types of cinnamon: Ceylon cinnamon and Cassia cinnamon. While some consider Ceylon cinnamon to be the "real" variety, both types come from the same family of trees. However, Ceylon cinnamon is known for its sweeter, fresher taste compared to Cassia cinnamon. It's crucial not to interchange them, especially when cooking Sri Lankan cuisine. Sri Lanka holds the distinction of being the primary producer and exporter of Ceylon cinnamon.

Within the realm of Ceylon cinnamon, there are various grades available. At Ceylon Roots International, we exclusively source the finest grades of cinnamon. All our Ceylon cinnamon products adhere to the Alba or C5 grades, ensuring the highest quality for our customers.
